This weekend I tried to soft mod an xbox but ran it to problems. After I did the soft mod the Backup games would not play. Movies and avi that I burned to disc worked just fine but none of the games would respond. After going through two xboxes with the same result I was succesful on the third. I'm wondering what could be causing that problem. I am using the splinter cell hack and the program that I've been using to mod is the itools which I know to be old. On another xbox I used itools and when it switched the linux to backup C the screen got scrambled and turned green. Will changing to SID solve the problem?
It could be that your xbox dvd drive doen't like the media you are burning your games on. I know I've had a couple of boxes that wouldn't play a burn that other boxes could.
