Canon HD cam

    Hi, what do you guy's think of the Canon HV30 Mini DVD tape cam it can only produce 1080I vs the current 1080P but what have read it is easier to edit on tape mode, any other suggestion would be considered.

    It's a nice camcorder, but you better have a high powered computer for editing the video.

    HD sucks system resources, bigtime. It is slow encoding.

    Say one from one Grandpa to another what is the minimum computer requirement for the editing, I know that don't have a adequate video card that's for sure what else is needed.

    i prefer hd disc camcorders, but yours is not bad

    Yes hd cam are true HD 1080P but hard to edit, what have been told by most people that have talked to they prefer a tape cam for that reason and that reason only and most of them have there own studio? I am just doing it for my own pleasure.
