Canon S30 AVI files fail to convert

    Does anyone have a clue why the AVI files that the Canon S30 digital camera produces play fine with Windows Media Player and my ATI Video Player, but I cannot convert them using any of the tools. I tried uncompressig the audio which made no diff.

    I am guessing the AVI version is to blame. Windows Mp does give info on properties "unknown"

    Any clues ?

    what kind of tools did you try to use to convert the video.........
