Greetings. This problem has been blowing my brain for a few months now. I have four hardrives with many, many wmv, mpeg, asf, and avi files on them but can only access about half of them. I started noticing this error around the time I was reinstalling winxp. I can't access, move, or delete them. I've tried changing and rearranging administrators rights, registry settings, security templates and many other little tweaks. I'm running very low on ideas. Is there a way to start fresh and get all the drives' access rights the same? Please enlighten me. Thanks for your time.

I'm experiencing the exact same error. Although I am having trouble acesseing files over a network. Half of the files (MP3 + WMA) work fine while the other half give the error '0xC00D11D2 can not access file' when I try to open or copy the files. Both systems on the network are runnng winxp pro. All files are shared and none are read only. They also all open fine on the host machine.???????
