    Hi neuroboy
Haven't done this one. What error is AnyDVD and DVDfab giving you?
Released 2 months ago in the US and by no one that stands out as using 'harder' copy protection like Sony or Disney.

Post the media info if you can. Will show what this disc has on it but either program I would think would handle it.
In AnyDVD>Settings under program settings check 'show information window for new media'

    You can also try RipIt4Me:

Dumb queston(s) I know but just checking - you have AnyDVD running when opening the disc in Shrink or Clone right? Using the latest CloneDVD - 2.9.0.1?

From the info yep it's packed but not anymore so than some of the newer ones that these prgrams (anydvd & dvfab & RipIt4Me) usually handle.

Try RipIt4Me - also uses shrink and decrypter. (see link above) Can also handle protection like this on a disc.
Let's see how that one goes.

Oh may/may not help - clean off the disc w/ something non abrasive.
Do a disc cleanup and run a system defrag (if you haven't very recently) before trying again.

    Keep us posted!

What error or what happened w/ RipIt4Me?

So far between the programs you are using haven't had one stop them yet with that protection and a couple of more bad sectors.
Hmmm may have to pick this one up - movie any good?

Another option is to rip w/ AnyDVD then open in your program of choice to encode and burn.

After all these attempt you may just have a bad press and an exchange may be best.
    Keep us posted!

At this point you have thrown everthing at it - my feeling is it's a bad disc.
Can't always see w/ the human eye - but looks like what your drive is telling you. The unreadable error helps support that with the different programs you have tried.

Time to exchange it for a new one.

Let us know how the new one goes.

I am having the same problem. I cannot back it up either. I even have a different copy than the first one and I am still having the "Invalid Data File" error. And every time I try to fix the file it says another one is invalid. I have used programs like FixItVTS and another one with no luck. Any suggestions?

    Hi MzLeen
    Welcome to aD
    Have you tried RipIt4Me?
It uses decrypter, FixVts and Shrink.
See my post above for a guide and links to download.

What other programs have you tried?

    Hi.

I am by no means an expert. I backed up Tsotsi with no problem whatsoever, first try. I used DVDshrink plus AnyDVD 6.0.6.1.

Maybe you just have a bad press...
