    Can someone please help me? I have burned hundreds of movies using shrink and dvd decrypter + nero. I haven't had any problems up until now. I am not able to burn anything. I use decrypter to create a file or and it works fine, but will not burn. If I use shrink it will do everything but burn. I am not very good with computers, but I think this is a problem with the computer not the programs. I will copy and paste the burn error message that I get (I hope that I am not breaking any forum rules by posting the error message, if I am it is not intetinal. Here is the message: It says Burn process failed at 8x (11,080 kb/s)

    @bigyack,

    Looks like your DMA has gone bad to PIO mode instead of "DMA if available", to get it back to "DMA Mode" and if you're using XP, then follow this link here http://www.burstcopy.com/dma/xp/ - hopefully, this will help you a little.

    It looks like it[your burner] doesn't like the blank media you're using. What brand is the blank by chance? I hope it's not Memorex or any of the unknown brands. I recommend you get Taiyo Yuden/Fuji 8X DVD+R (Made In Japan), Maxell 8X DVD+R (Made In Japan), Verbatim 8X DVD+R (Made In Taiwan -->MCC it's ok this is a good media) and SONY 8X DVD+R (MIJ) - all these are top notch medias. So you can't go wrong with them. Good lucks...

    in addition to what alkohol said, you're also using an outdated version of Nero. They're up to 6.6.0.14 I believe and you're back in the 6.3 days.
