I am trying to burn CDs to play on a regular CD player. I can get the CDs to burn, but they'll only play on computers and players made for CD R/W. I have been converting the files to .WAV format and then burn to CD with various burning software. What am I doing wrong.
Maybe a wrong CD? I happened to me with a certain type of CD: only Alcohol 120% could burn into them, CDRWin and Nero aborted before beginning (but strange: you have already the .WAVs, therefore it cannot be a protection issue). To try, use Nero and 'burn' an image (.NRG file) on your PC. If you mount the image with Alcohol 120%, do you see it correctly? _X_X_X_X_X_[small]Read forum rules! http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/2487[/small]
try using a slower burn speed. say 4x and see if the CD plays then. I assume you are using CD-R as CD-RW don't normally work in standard CD players.
Well, I feel pretty stupid. Was trying to burn on CD R/W. I got some CD-R's and it's burning beautifully! Thanks for the help.
