I'm using Nero to convert my AVI files to VCD. HOwever I have problems doing it. Whenever I try to drag and drop the file into the window ofr burning, an error message pops up and says 'needs mpeg-2 which was encoded for super vcd'. It also says that the stream encoding is invalid for a vcd. I tried using TMPGEnc to convert the file to MPEG1 but the freeware can't even read the file! I could watch the AVI/MPG file on my Win Media Player with no problems, but what is the problem with the encoding if any? And how do I continue to burn it as a vcd? Thanks
Hi I am new here but was having the same problem you are having. I read this thread and finally got TMPGEncoder to work Hope it helps. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/6073
Details on recording avi to vcd using TMPGEng ver 2.51 is avail from that home site (www.tmpgenc.net/e_main.htm) Download the prog then use the wizard and follow the instructions.
