I am using Nero 7. I know this is related to the firmaware and limitations of the burner. I can burn DVD-RW just fine. Nero actually burned DVD+R a couple times and now is rejecting them. It rejects DVD-R too. I can not find any firmware updates for my burner. Hammer Matshita DVD-RAM SW-9585. I know this burner blows, but it works better than the piece of **** Sony I spent a lot of money on and it didn't work at all. I tried updating the firmware on the Sony before removing it from my system. I got the Hammer to burn DVD+R on occasion with Nero and DVD Shrink. Lately it has been rejecting DVD+R everytime. Please help.
After reading some one elses post I tried burning at 4X. It worked three times in a row so far with DVD+R Memorex.
