I've got a VOB file which I converted from MP4 using Super. But when I try to burn it to DVD using the "Burn DVD-Video Files" option it says "the file is larger than 2 GB and therefore cannot be stored in an ISO file system. Please use the UDF file system to write such large files." I would try to re-convert the MP4 on a lower quality setting but I'm not sure how to go about doing that (apart from anything Super doesn't seem to let you specify an output file size). Is there any way I can get this VOB onto a DVD?
You need to make a DVD Video compilation(VOB, BUP and IFO files), not just a VOB. Convert the MP4 file to DVD using DVD Flick or Nero Vision: http://beginwithsoftware.com/videoguides/dvd-flick-guide.html http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/272946 Or you could use IFoEdit to create a DVD from the VOB file, but I think that the first options are easier.
To expand on cyprusrom's post: This will take about ten minutes for a 4GB file. Rename large file as VOB_01_1.VOB Run VobEdit > 'Open', select VTS_01_1.VOB 'Demux' > select 'All Video and Audio'. The files will be saved as an .m2v and an ac3. Run IFOEdit > 'DVD Author' > 'Author New DVD' Load the m2v and ac3 files and select an output folder. Well I used DVD Flick in the end - and it converted my MP4 into appropriate VOB's, BUP's and IFO's really well, burn to DVD, works fine! I'll have a look at those other programs too though. Thanks for the help, DVD Flick is a great program!
Ok I burnt the DVD Flick VOBs etc to a DVD, and the quality is fine, but the audio soundtrack is a good 5 seconds behind the video. Has anyone else had this happen, and does anyone have any possible solutions?
