I have the latest firmware and nero version. I'm using Taiyo Yuden 8x Speed 4.7GB DVD-R. I've tried all burn speeds and several other types of DVDs all resulting in the same result. This version of Nero has a few bugs, I would uninstall, run Nero general clean tool and install this bug free version http://httpdl2.usw.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18.exe http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18.exe I would slow burn speed to 4X, not much wrong here so I think change to Nero may help.
