i have several movies some in img and some in iso. only the img files work burning through disk utility. i burn them to dvd and they play fine. the iso's on the other hand never work. they burn correctly but don't play in any dvd player. any idea what is going on? also how to i burn audio_ts and video_ts files to a dvd. i tried creating an image file through disk utility and burning that to dvd. nothing. so anyone that has info on how to do this, i'd greatly appreciate it. -Link
Ive tried this before too, i got it to work on certain dvd players, but some dont read iso files, so u have to actually convert the movie to a format that your player can read. i think my friend uses DVDfab or videofab, im not for sure on that tho. try to convert the video to a mpeg or midi format. another thing to try is to use magiciso, and rip it in a uif format instead of iso, then try to run it in your dvd player.
Question. Can you mount the iso image. Let me explain. If you cannot mount the iso most likely you need to install a burning application. i would recommend. roxio toast titanium or dragon burn
yeah i can mount it. i can burn it also using disk utility. but i they don't play in my dvd player only img files work. anyone know of any programs or ways to convert iso to img -Link
Try burning the images with LiquidCD. It handles some strange files (SuperVCD/VCD bin/cue files and more).
Disk Utility does seem to act up with some files. I've found that a free program that burns everything i throw at it found here - http://burn-osx.sourceforge.net/ Also about who mentioned that the dvd player can't read the img file, that's incorrect. A img file and iso file when burned burns folders to the disc that are contained in the img/iso file. Once burned, it's no longer a img file and thus has nothing to do with the dvd player having trouble reading it. Something is getting messed up when burning the img file with disk utility. Try the free program i pointed you to and it should work out your problems.
Reverse what I said about the poster stating the dvd player won't read an img file, i meant he said ISO. Also it may be just that your iso files are incorrect to start with. Mount the ISO and make sure there's a Video_TS folder and an AUDIO_TS folder contained within that iso file. If you burn the isos with the free program I mentioned they should play on the dvd player.
