    monkeykid,
    Welcome to the forum.
What format are the file downloaded in. Is it .avi or what. You might have to convert them to DVD-Compliant files first and then compress them and then burn.
What programs are you using and what blank media are you using. Freezing sometimes is caused by poor blank media you are using. Explain exactly the processes you are doing.

thanks for replying and thanks for the welcome. I download the movies from shareza, and i burn them on nero. I go to burn a dvd-movie, and i add the movie as a video file. When it starts to burn, it will freeze shortly after starting. It doesn't say if the file is .AVI or anything. I am using sony dvd-r disks

    monkeykid,
Take the files and run them through the program below VSODivxtoDVD ( free beta version). After that you can compress if you need w/ DVDShink and then automatically burn w/ Nero.
You might have a bad D/L'd but let's try the above first.
The files need to be mpeg-2 DVD-Compliant form before Nero Recode will burn them properly.
