Hey all I just noticed that my Burner: Memorex DVD+/-DL4RWID2 Can only burn at 6x as the slowest speed. Right now I'm using Verbs that are up to 16x compatible, so I thought it was the media. I tried using Fuji that are only 8x compatible and still I can only burn at 6x. I have media that only supports 4x burning and that, well, burns at 4x but the media is crappy. Is there a reason why I can't burn at 4x using these Verbs (16x) and Fuji (8x)? I just don't want to have bad burns and end up with pixelation burning at higher speeds. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Go to My Computer from your desktop and find your drive. Right click and then click properties and find the recording tab. You can change the speed there.

Yobbuzb........ I didn't know you can change the recording speed from the properties of the drive? I Right clicked my DVD writer and went to properties..... recording..... and saw that you can change the speeds when you check the CD writing box...... but isn't that for just CD writing??? or does that pertain to both DVD and CD writing?

I think it just applies to CD writing. I went into the drive's properties and changed the maximum recording speed to 4X and still can only burn at 6X at the slowest. Thanks for your suggestion :)
