Trying to burn with DVD decrypter and I have set the write speed on the program to 1x. Then went into my computer>properties and made the DVD drive from there also burn at 1x.

Now when I try to burn it will always be at 4x burning speed, anyone know why? Could it be something to do with acceptable speeds a DVD burner will perform?

    What burner are you using?
DDVD should burn at the speed you set.
Some media list accepted media speed 2.4x,4x,8x.
I have a BenQ and it burn at the speed I select unless I chose MAX.

In a window just above were you select the burn speed, read what it says at "supported write speed". These are the write speeds the burners firmware tells Decrypter that the media can be burned at. You can select speeds but it won't be respected unless that speed is listed as a supported write speed

You're right... the support speeds are 4,8,12,16

I use a Pioneer DVR-109 and was trying to burn my ps2 games at a slower rate so they wont become coasters
