cant capture audio using instant cd/dvd 7 ( access violation?)

    Hi

    I am trying to capture some audio using pinnacles instant cd/dvd ( version 8.1.2) when i click record i am promted for a file name i enter one and then get the message "acess violation of address 00000000 read of adress 00000000. what does this mean and is there any way around it? all i want is a simple to use audio program so i can back up and edit and burn all my old tapes.

    I have found that Goldwave and Audacity to work very well for recording and editing. You can record your tapes and records (assuming you still have those) on to your hard drive and then convert the files to mp3 or whatever.
