    Pacman,
I used your step by step and its decrypting right now for just "movie only". Do I have to use dvd decrypter to burn or would nero work?

    Thanks

    You're welcome.

Nero or any of the other supported burners will work fine with Shrink. I was just showing the completely free method. DVD Shrink supports VSO burning software as well. It's not showing in my images because I don't have it loaded on my system.

I think the little tutorial on page 16 covered most of that and then some. We've been going over the same thing for the past week or so. The method I suggested with the updated software doesn't encounter any errors.

I just burned Saw 3, you need to have dvddecrypter and dvdshrink installed. Then download free utility: Rip It For me . Run the wizard - it works and it's easy.

On page 2 alkohol first brought up RipIt4Me being used with Saw III. That was eleven days ago. Nothings changed much, except the program was updated so it would work more smoothly. Plus there was an update to FixVTS. Since the same thing happens in Wizard or 1-Click that part is optional. I think Wizard was created for people who like to play with buttons, like me. ;) There's a difference of opinion. Some people think it's the movie from hades and others think it's a walk in the park. I think it just depends on the software choice. ;)

Using ripit4me with todays update, fixvts, dvddecrypter and shrink. run through ripit and it opens dvddecrypt and it stalls at the same point everytime in dvddecrypt. vts_08_1.vob after 16,320 kb have been transferred the just freezes and won't go no further. I've posted on some of the other now closed threads but nothing so far has helped me crack this darn thing. I'm using an unrated version. I'm also not sure how I should be using fixvts. Should I let ripit4me run it after dvddecrypt gets done, which never happens or am I supposed to be using it at another time, which tells you I really don't know how to use this program huh? Also don't know how to use vobblanker. Very desparate! I haven't run into one I couldn't do yet and I have done a considerable amount of them.

Has anybody gotten an update from anydvd yet, not the beta version, the one that anydvd sends out automatically?

There isn't an update to AnyDVD yet. Like you said, there's betas (I'm on version 6.1.1.2), but nothing to fix Saw 3. I used RipIt4Me and it came out gold. No errors or anything. I wish everyone luck in the ripping of the movie. You don't really need it. heh

Just got this via email from Anydvd tech support:

"Please try it with this beta version of AnyDVD.

    http://sandbox.slysoft.com/SetupAnyDVD6112.exe

Please remove the bogus titles that are on this DVD in the CloneDVD2 title configuration window. TitleSets: 01/04/06/07/15/16/17 (Just uncheck these. The repair window will come up but close it out and ignore it)

You will recognize them because they only display a black screen in the preview window.

If you want to use another compression program, use CloneDVD2 to rip to harddisk (select DVD-DL as output size, so CloneDVD will not compress)."

It worked perfectly for me, no problems! YAY!!

Slysoft answered my email about saw 3 with any dvd, they said, Please remove the bogus titles that are on this DVD in the CloneDVD2
    title configuration window. TitleSets: 01/04/06/07/15/16/17

You will recognize them because they only display a black screen in the
    preview window.

If you want to use another compression program, use CloneDVD2 to rip to
harddisk (select DVD-DL as output size, so CloneDVD will not compress).

Best regards, guess a solid fix is not coming soon.

Ok - I had this one pretty well figured out and have burned it 5 times. FixIt4Me, DVD Decrypter, Fix VTS, Shrink = no play.

I have a Panasonic RV-30 dvd player and have played EVERYTHING I have burned in the past on it. This burn will not play. It start out, reconizes that it's a DVD then STOPS. I hit Menu and it takes me to the menu with the arm hanging and select play movie and then STOP. I can play it on my cheap-o APEX portable and my Magnovox Portable but not my Panasonic DVD RV-30. I've tried to different types of media also - both used in the past with no problems.

Anyone else have this issue? Any fix? I cannot play this in my main player.

    THX all -
