Started ripping SAW IV now that I have a quick minute. I thought that I would post and say it looks like the new beta version of DVDFABPLATINUM4 will work with the protection... at least throughout the ripping stage... I'll take a look at how it handles when I throw it into the dvd player and I'll let you know. You should be able to use ANYDVD and rip a successful copy of woodcock. I did it with Platinum4 (but that's becuase it is my program of choice) but from what I understand the newest version of ANYDVD should work with the protection on woodcock. Cheers!
Thanks for the update 311814175. I won't have this one til next week so hopefully my fav AnyDVD will work by then Man rough schedule btw! I feel ya on the school and work bit - I dread next week after the long Xmas break
OK You will be happy to know that SAW IV ripped fine/burned within about 10 minutes. I played it and it is a COMPLETE 100% back up. Full disc, all menus, audio etc. No lag in audio, video, anything. PERFECTION!!! This is why is I LOVE dvdFABPlatinum4.
Well since no one has responded to this, I would imagine that they all got it to work as well? Let's hope so.
Hi folks,Tried to copy AT WORLDS END using DVD shrink after analysing ok,but while encoding a message appeared FAILED TO READ FILE "E:\" Copy protection error- the read failed because the sector is encrypted. Anybody shed any light on this please.
This thread's about Saw IV.... however the same workarounds apply to World's End and virtually every other film out there. Here's the World's End thread though as i say, the same fixes apply; plus you mentioned only DVD Shrink so i assume you haven't taken time to actually look thru this Saw IV thread yet....
This is the Saw IV thread. There is an existing POTC At Worlds End thread you would have found if using the search feature... http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/589662
perhaps i missed it again i went back a page and read and it said hopefuly anydvd will have it fixed by the 22nd.....from what i read.... i was wondering if anyone knows if it is fixed now?
Ah, it was from DVDFab, i don't use AnyDVD so i don't pay too much attention to AnyDVD fixes. Just grab the free version of DVDFab and get the movie ripped..AnyDVD will no doubt be updated again soon
I'm back, I want to thanks again for the update. I finally back up Saw IV with the menu with the DVDFab Platinum. Now I can rest.
I have tried anydvd 6.3.0.3 Shrink 3.2 DVD Fab Platinum 4.0.3.2 DVDFabHDDecrypter 4.0.5.0 Rip It For Me not sure where else to go?
