    Hi all,

I still can't create a VCD?? I have followed every step in the articles to a tee. I go to burn with nero and all I get is 2 audio tracks that wont play. And when I use vcdeasy I get nothing!! What am i doing wrong? Is there some other process i'm missing?

on the log from vcd I get this
    Writing lead-in and gap...
    Writing track 01 (mode MODE2_RAW/AUDIO )...
    Writing track 02 (mode MODE2_RAW/AUDIO )...

Where in all the articles is says

    Writing track 1(modeMODE2_RAW/MODE2_RAW )...
    Writing track 2(modMODE2_RAW/MODE2_RAW)...

see it' creating a audio...not the mode2_raw type of cd????????????????????

I have had similar probs with burning image-files made with vcdeasy. There is allways two tracks in .cue file. Have you looked it ?

JUST USE TMPGENC FOR CREATING VCD.

that's the best of , for mpeg program.

    get control of all setting.

    make the move ;-)

This has been a common problem elkhunter. it seems to depend on the burner you are using

ying0yang, TMPGEnc, isn't the best MPEG encoder. CCE SP is far better for quality and takes half the time of TMPGEnc!

You have to use it with DVD2SVCD unless you are really used to it!

Just to correct: TMPGEnc is, IMHO, the best encoder for MPEG-1/VCD movies, but CCE SP beats TMPGEnc hands down when speaking of MPEG-2/SVCD encoding. So, use TMPGEnc for MPEG-1 and CCE SP for MPEG-2.

Ye actually I get what you mean. Its a pity really. I used DVD2SVCD to create a vcd with CCE SP and i got horrible playback. But what i say is why create vcd when you can create a VBR SVCD with much higher quality and 60mins on an 80min disk!

But not all DVD players support SVCD, although luckily almost all modern ones do.

I used Ulead to create a vcd and it won't show on either my panasonic 120 or my LG. It would only play on my computer's dvd. That really sucks. Is it the quality of the media or did I burn at too high a speed?
I tried vcdeasy and it won't burn with the dvd/burner that I have got from DELL. It sucks. Any help?

Try following our guides for creating VCDs and burning them, you can read the guides from our article page. Those have been verified many, many times to work perfectly.
