Hi, My laptop gained virus all of a sudden that i have never come across before. It wont download or install any sort of update, whether it be windows update or updating software. It also does not let me open I.Explorer or any spyware/malware etc software! and it has also triggered off more popups! unfortunatly, i cant find much out about the virus because no software will open, i can just remember a window poppin up once that said 'win32/reno.io' or something like that. any help wil be much appriciated Thank you
There could be quite a few things causing this problem. The virus may however, changed your services, to prevent windows from updating, and also disabled the windows installer service; both would cause the update issues and lack of instalation. I would suggest using a pc that is clean, and a clean flash stick, and finding a few standalone scanners. Without the exact files in suspect and their extensions....it makes diagnosing the culprit a litle tough.
