Hi, I am having problem with my "MATSHITA DVD RAM UJ-861S" DVD writer. (First, thanks for understanding my request at the other post) Your log is showing that failed due to using already written disk (DVD+R). It does not match with your problem in your post. (Are there an error log with RW disc?) Or Nero / Burner mistreat the disc? (though MCC 004 is Verbatim DVD+R, I think) If you have problem with RW media, try full erase with ImgBurn first. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/741173#4493839 Then try burning again. To eliminate Nero problem, try using ImgBurn (Write Image file or folder) Also, you may need to check your firmware. Laptop burner usually has OEM firmware. So try ASUS web site (though I could not find it). There may be the way to crossflash (Search the web. Though please understand the risk.). If you used to have successful burning DVD, it is a possibility that your burner is dead. (Even you can read/write CD-R/RW)
