    Hello there!

I just both an LG DU37LZ30 37" LCD hdtv and also installed a UHF/VHF HD outdoor antenna in San diego..

The problem is the picture I get does not fill the widescreen of the tv, it's a little bit bigger than regular 4:3 but it does not fill the whole screen..

WHy is that? the HD over the air channels should be 16:9 that would fill the whole screen?

I have tried to change aspect ratios and nothing works..
Everything else can even strech froma 4:3 ratio to a full 16:9,
but this over the air signal that should be native 16:9 doesn't fill the whole screen?

    Anyone knows about this?
TV has a built in HD tunner...

    Thx!!

Is it a certain station? Is the broadcast in HD? Not all DTV broadcasts are HD. Only HD content is to be 16:9 100% of the time. DTV content can be whatever (either 4:3 or 16:9). Sometimes broadcasters intetionaly place black bars on the left and right so that the presentation mantains aspect ratio.

What type of contet are you watching (sports, old TV shows, movies, ect...)?

    Ced

I'm watching CBS KFMB San diego.. if I click on info on the controller it gives me the channel info that says HD Dolby Digital. 1080i...

It's the same thing for abc.. I get black bars at the sides but is not like normal 4:3 aspect ratio small picture, the picture is a little bit bigger than that, but does not fill the screen.

Right now they have sports (Supercross)..
Also on info says 16:9.. ?
