So, I foolishly got viruses and different types of malware on my computer. I'm wanting to use the Kaspersky 10 rescue disk to fix my foolishness. But, every time I download the file which has a .iso extension, I wind up getting a .RAR archive.

When I extract the archive, I get a folder, inside the folder are a bunch of files and folders the files and folders are as follows:
    Boot-folder
    rescue-folder
    boot.catalog-file
    EFL-image file
    live CD-file

I have tried converting the directory to a .ISO and burning it. That did not work. I have tried burning only the image file to a CD that did not work.

Thank you everyone for the advice. I greatly appreciate it.

Problem Solved-I feel like an absolute moron. When I installed WinRar, I left the box checked to associate iso files with WinRar. Once I changed the association, I was able to burn everything just fine. Kind of embarrassing.

Unfortunately or fortunately, I think we have all been there more than we would like to admit.
I once heard someone say to error is human but to really screw up your life it takes a computer.

Exactly! Which is why I was looking for the rescue disk in the first place!

It dawned on me what was happening almost immediately after I wrote the message. Once I check to see what the problem was I felt like a knucklehead.
