Thought I'd try posting here. I have Compro's external Videomate Cinema capture set up. I don't seem to get any sound in VDub, during the preview/capture and the output AVI also has no sound. I've tried the latest version of VDub. When I open Compro's own PVR app, the sound is present. I also tried my bundled Powerdirector Pro but that also has no sound. I'd prefer to use Vdub as it can capture AVI whereas Compro's app can't. I've checked that the Line In on the recording mixer window is selected and the volume is turned up. I have the 3.5mm lead running from the external box's Audio out to the PC's line in. The fact that the PVR app has sound means it's getting to the PC ok. Any ideas, please ?

even more info, When I hook my speakers directly to my capture box there is no sound there. If I open Compro's PVR the sound returns, same aas my original post. Something is stopping the external box outputting sound when using other capture apps.
