    Hi
Ive got the free ... any video converter.... and used it for years no probs

suddenly I put say 10 vob videos on to convert to mp4 and nothing happens

I put one vid on and then it works fine.

Seems like the batch has stopped working

any ideas on how I could fix this ?

    thanks for help or comment

I put in 1 file and it converts ok no prob ... but more than one file in and nothing happens

they are small 2 min vid clips from a dvd recorder
they come in comp from a dvd disc as vobs
I convert them to mpg files then put them into .... any video converter
and convert them to mp4 files

its been working fine for the past 3 years.... suddenly the batch conversion is nt working

I tried it this morning and found the same thing. However, if you go to the Main Menu and select Edit, then Options, you can set the number of simultaneous conversions to a maximum of 5. When all imported files are check marked, click on Convert Now. It then converts more than one file at a time. Don't know why the limit is 5 but I never used the software before. Just downloaded it in an attempt to help.

I don't know why you're converting the vts.........vob to mpg and then to mpeg-4. I would just convert them directly to mpeg-4. By the way, which mpeg-4 setting are you using? I used the customized one but it outputs in low resolution.

I don't know what you're doing with the converted files but, if a disc has more than one vts..............vob file, I would join/merge them before conversion since together, they are the complete video.

thanks for that interesting info ... I saw that 5 similtaneous conversions too... but so far have not tried it ..

I think Ive got to convert to vobs to mpg prob because the ..... any video converter .... does nt accept them
Ive forgotten its prob 3 years now since I started .
the vob files are very big Im converting to mp4 just to make smaller files in terms of meg

there are 4 of these mpg files in here
    https://mega.nz/#F!cM12xaZI!ryYD51-_l14ZwNdpr_vdFQ

    decrypt key ryYD51-_l14ZwNdpr_vdFQ

Im converting to customized mp4 movie .... and the quality of the vid clips seems pretty good to me

Ive sent some files over to the guys at .... any video converter ..... so I might hear from them any time now

Interesting that the batch function is nt working for you either .....

no ... dont want to merge these 2 min clips into one big video ... they are all diff celebs so I name them separately

    I think you misunderstood me.
It accepts vts.....vob files. That's what I used yesterday before replying. I did 3 in one go and it worked. It may not accept one that is only a menu.

Also, if you don't merge the vts....vob files from a single disc, there will probably be some discontinuity since the factor that determines whether or not there will be more of them is the size. Each one is limited to 1 GB.

When I selected the customized mp4, it shows the resolution will be 320x... That's less than HD. If you're happy with them, that's all that matters.

I was able to convert all four of your files in one go.

How about Apple TV Mpeg-4 AVC Movie. It's 720p.

What do you want to do with the videos?

I'm using the free version 6.3.7 (look in Help, About).

Maybe it because I have a lot of video software installed.

You might be able to get that one if you install the free Quick Time Player. The only advantage of going to mpeg-4 is smaller files.

As far as I know, the batch issue is solved with the exception that it's limited to 5 files at a time instead of the 10 you said it had previously.

Did you download and install the free Quick Time Player to see if it gives you more options? If you have Win 10, you will probably need to install it in Win 7 compatibility mode since I think they've discontinued it.

Click on Add Videos. Browse to and select 1 or more files. Select Open. When they're imported they should be all checkmarked on the left next to the thumbnail. Then click on Convert Now! In the screenshot below, I added the four files you provided. Ignore the fact that i specified mpeg-2 for the conversion in this screen shot. I used the Custom mp4 when I originally converted them.
