Can't get movie clips to play to the end?

    I can't get movie clips to play thru to the end? Many months ago things were fine - not anymore? I have "Windows Media 11", VLC and Quicktime" as players. I have the DIVX codec loaded and several others but Something is very wrong? Checked many times and thee are no virus's or spyware present? I usually get a reboot during the playing of a clip. Playing two 5 minute clips back to back would never work. This is a real problem. ANY suggestions????? thanks Ron
