Ok I'm going insane! I'm using a new HP Entertainment Laptop (Vista) with a +R/ +R DL drive. I have tried almost every software you can think of. I've only had one succesful burn from DVD Cloner VI, but since it was a trial version I could only do one. My problem isn't with getting the movie done it's once I try and write it onto my blank media, it doesn't matter which software or which Media (I have TDK +R's and TDK +R DL) once it starts to write it gives me an error. It's done this with Nero, Easy DVD Creator, Alcohol 120%, DVD Cloner, NextCopy Ultimate, CloneDVD2, and CloneCD. I'm gettinf frustrated and jsut can't understand why this stuff isn't burning right, I've also tried it on my desktop (XP) and I have the same problems. I've read the guides and follow them to a T. What am I doing wrong, or not doing, thanks!
I accidentaly left that off the list, I've tried that one too, it won't even begin to write before it pops up an error.
Can You Post An Imgburn Log? Maybe if you Start at the beginning, What program do you Rip the Movie to the Hard Drive with? What version of Nero Do You Have? Can You Booktype? What is the Error MSG you Get? What is the MID Code of your Media? Can you Download: DFab HD Decrypter (Free) DVD Shrink (Free) And you already have Imgburn (Free)
Two problems: 1. TDK is not very good media. Better discs would be Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. For more information on this topic, see http://www.digitalfaq.com/reviews/dvd-media.htm for which discs are best, which are worst. 2. A lot of HP computers come with LG drives. LG drives are not the best burners. Sometimes they act up. Using better media tends to alleviate this problem, though not always. I've run into many bad LG OEM drives, brand new. Also, if you smoke in the house, that could also be damaging the optical drive on the computer.
Electronic optics are most harmed by two things: dust and smoke. I've pulled drives out of computers that looked worse than the lungs on lung-cancer cadavers. It's coated in this toxic green/gray gritty slime.
Hi! It may help if you install either "SlyFox" or "DVD43". Protection maybe your problem if it exsist on the original. pitanjara
