are you using a hacked dashboard ? or did you totally just srew up your box ? A little more info would be helpful ? i.e. what game you used < what dash board ,what happens when you try to access ms dash.

first thing is first, i haven't screwed my xbox. i have a mod chip and have installed evox on a new hard drive with dvd2xbox as well. i have about 13 games on the hard drive and they all work great. The only thing that doesn't work is that when at the evox dash it says msdash, it goes to evox load screen but then just comes back to evox dash

Ok thats what I needed to know. I went round and round my self trying to get ms dash working my self . I tried manipulating the evox.ini , moving dash board files around you name it I tried it !The best I got was error 21 when trying to start up ms dash! What finally worked for me was getting the newist evox files of of xbins and installing it.Sorry if you took the "srewed up your box " comment personal. Thats usually why some one is here . Good luck

to get what i wanted to do, i just changed the file name of the msdash on the c-drive of the xbox. But be warned that if you don't have a boot disk from when you changed over hard drives, then i wouldn't bother. i paniced for a bit that i couldn't ftp to my xbox after i has restored the dash. Could only do it thru the boot disk.

So... just a question, and maybe I am off base...

Why didn't you just boot to your modchip and tell it to load the original bios? It will pop right up in the MS dash, so long as your HDD is locked.

because i have no idea how to boot to my modchip.
My xbox was chipped 5 years ago and knew nothing about evox or anything. i've had to install basically everything myself and this was the way i knew to get myself out of trouble
