i bought a after market heatsink and fan for video card[silencer].before i installed this hs\fan i was getting readings of 70-75c.so it did cool it 10c,but games play better with no lag[not talking about online lag]at 50c.how can i get this temp lower?i also have a big fan pointing and blowing into the video card.is there something im doing wrong.i overclocked 2800+axp to a 2.19 mhz. running 85 mhz moniter speed, and my timing is 3 3 4 8.my vcore i cant touch 1.62 volts

When you removed the old hsf did you clean off the old thermal compound & apply a good quality thermal compound before installing the new cooler, also do you have any case fans in your case ?

i cleaned off the cpu and left the thermal compound that came with tthe silencer on it.could that be the problem.the aftermarket video card cooler came with this grey paste on the heatsink and thermal pads.as it works in its getting cooler it seems.now the idle is 52c full load is 57c-59c
