Hi, I am totally new to this as I bought a Sony Digital8 last week and have managed to take some movies on it and downloaded it to my computer as MPEGS and I am having trouble trying to burn them onto CD's. The Mpegs work fine and I have been able to send them out as email attachments but for the life of me I cant get them to burn to CD... I am using the software that came with the camera : Sony Imagemixer ver 1.5 which did not work it wrote a disc but all it contains is four folders called Cdi,Mpegwav,Segment and Vcd, they contain files but no Mpegs what am I doing wrong?? I downloaded Ulead DVD Factory and tried to burn a vcd on that but it did the same thing as Imagemixer, no MPEGS.... Please help me out here as I can't seem to work out where I am going wrong and my hair is getting thinner.....
No point in getting DVD software for VCD! Just get Nero burning rom and use the VCD option to drag and drop the files then burn - it's quite easy. You can also create a menu for your VCD in the options panel when you are used to using it. You can download Nero to try it out first for free at www.download.com
your captured mpeg file has to be vcd format 320x240 ect ect this program will check it as the first step and not go any futher if there is a problem http://www.vcdeasy.org/
