Hello, I'm at my wits end. Not sure how to fix this problem in my computer. When trying to move my picture files to the e drive in my computer using a dvd disc i get this message. "windows encoutered a problem when trying to copy this file" with no other explanation. I'm so frustrated. Does anyone have any idea on what to do? Thanks in advance.

It might help if you tell us HOW you are trying to move the files and what the e drive is.

First, you can't move files from a DVD. You can copy them, but you can't move them.

thanks for responding! The e drive on my computer is the writer. I back up movies all the time using decript, shrink, & anydvd. so i know my burners working fine. Mabe i just don't know what i'm doing when trying to transfer my picture files to a blank dvd. I've tried dragging & droping from my picture file to the e-drive (burner). also i've tried copy & then burn, no luck. I guess what i need to find out is a step by step for this process. I tried moving a couple of files to the floppy drive & it worked fine. Not sure where i'm going wrong when trying to copy files to dvd. thanks again

if using dvd-rw than can do copy & paste. if using a regular dvd recordable disk than have to burn files or pictures to disk using nero, roxio & maybe anyone of those programs you listed.

tried the copy & paste method basicaly got the same message i wrote @ the top of this thread. I tried playing around with decrypter a little bit with no success. any idea how i could do it using any of my 3 programs?. Its got to be something simple that i'm doing wrong. I'd hate to have go buy 100 floppies & spend hours loading 2 pics @ atime on those. thanks again

One program I have just started using is Picasa2. Recently bought by Google it is free and surprisingly simple. Once installed it will scan and locate media from the hd. Once it is done scanning you can select tools>>backup. Select your cd/dvd burner then select all button and finally burn. Here is the link to the software..
