please help i got a starview5 today plugged cable in and setup but only got a few channels i pressed menu pressed 1570 nothing happened thanx
it might only have free to air firmware on it and so it will only give you free channels(it would be illegal for a shop to sell a box with firmware in it to unlock channels)if this is the case the box will need flashing.click on the link in my signature and select starview and see what firmware is there for starview5 (firmware is what unlocks the channels) and you will also need a firmware loader(a loader is what you use to put the firmware in to your box)if your box has a usb socket at the back you can download the firmware and loader to a usb stick and insert the usb stick in to the box and flash it that way(the firmware and loader may come together in one package).and also depending on where you live you may not be able to view any channels due to the nagra3 switchover(so you need to read through the reads about nagra3).
