i have recently installed usb loader gx on my wii and have it up and running. i must go through the homebrew icon to access the usb loader gx icon. i would like to place this icon on the main screen so i do not need to go through homebrew. i used the following link to install the loader. http://lifehacker.com/5518518/how-to-back-up-and-play-your-wii-games-from-an-external-hard-drive i followed this to the letter but when i get to the section 'Extra Credit: Put Your Loader on the Front Page' then it all goes wrong. when i try to load ios249 the wii freezes. i then read from the folowing link that i needed to remove the following stubs. http://wehackwii.pbworks.com/w/page/8844446/USB-Loader STEP 6. Run DOP-Mii from the HomeBrew Channel. Open the DOP-Mii Instructions, follow the "Stub IOS Removal" section OR Use the included AnyTitle Deleter DB to delete (if they exist on your Wii) IOS202, IOS222, IOS223, IOS249, IOS250, IOS254 when i do this i get a black screen when i try to load usb loader. i have now replaced the stubs and got it back to the way it was with the loader working and having to go through the homebrew icon to access the loader. can someone help with getting the icon onto the main screen. wii modded with indianapwns hack v4.3e thanks
also noticed when i select a game in usb loader the screen goes black and then resets to homebrew screen
you failed to complete the rest of your softmod. did you use cIOSX_rev21 to install your IOS248/249/250? did you use hermes 5.1 installer to install IOS222/223/224? and get rid of GX. configurable usb loader has much more compatability. http://gbatemp.net/t147638-configurable-usb-loader? if you want a forwarder channel, install the v8 with wadmanager 1.7 http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=275487
its sorted. i read the first comment at the bottom of the installation guide and followed this. Install DOP-Mii Download: http://bit.ly/gXcvrA Extract to /apps/ on SD: Run DOP-Mii and select "Install IOS36 (v3351) w/FakeSign" from the menu. Say yes to all patches and then download them Restore IOS15 to v523 Re-run DOP-Mii Select "(IOS:36)" Select "IOS, BC, mIOS" Say no to the "use AHBPROT" prompt Uninstall IOS222, 223, 249, and 250, BUT NOT ANY OTHER IOS! 3. Install cIOS Download: http://bit.ly/hdLo2Z Extract to /apps/ on SD: Run cIOS and install "IOS36" (you might have to use the D-pad to select it) Select "Network Installation" thanks for pointing me in the right direction. if i have any more problems then i will install config usb loader. many thanks
