I am running windows vista, and I am the admin of the system. I am trying to install the help files for Nero 9, that I downloaded from their site. The help package is a 5MB exe file, that just will not install. I keep getting access denied when trying to unpack and install the help files into the Nero 9 directories. I have changed ownership of the Nero folder and subfolders from system to me (admin), and still does not work. Sample errors: copy NeroWaveEditor_Eng.chm to C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 9\Nero WaveEditor\ Access is denied. 0 file(s) copied. copy NeroVision_Eng.chm to C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 9\Nero Vision\ Access is denied. 0 file(s) copied. copy NeroStartSmart_Eng.chm to C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 9\Nero StartSmart\ Access is denied. 0 file(s) copied. copy NeroSoundTrax_Eng.chm to C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 9\Nero SoundTrax\ Access is denied. 0 file(s) copied. Anyone have any ideas? ( I HATE this friggin Windows Vista.. won't let me control my own system!)
Thanks for the reply. I don't think I have Scout installed.. I seem to recall not installing it when I did the Nero 9 install. In any case, I cannot seem to find it, nor see it in the vista services list. Any other suggestions? btw.. the reason I want the help files is to try and figure out how to burn an ISO disc. I have several ISO files and I need to create discs, but can't figure out how to do this with Nero. If anyone knows how, please advise... and I won't waste my time with the help files.
