My computer's hard drive stopped working last week so I bought a new replacement one. Samsung ATA.

This computer has an old motherboard (ECS k7sem motherboard)

I just installed the new hard drive

Put the jumper on the HD as a Primary Master

    I turn on my computer

But it won't detect the new HD, so I can't install Windows XP.

What do I do? This is my first time installing a new hard drive.
