    Hi marco1888
Post your last cd log and we'll see what we can sort out.
The are located at: program files>Nero>Nero 7>Core>NeroHistory

Just be sure you edit out your serial # - they begin w/ 1A, 1C or 5C.

The logs are separated by something like this:
    ====== *** Nero Burning ROM, History File *** ======

Just copy and paste what's between this for the last cd one.

Well this is a log from Nero 5 done on 6/28/2006 showing where you stopped it.
I do see one that may help some:
Your burner can use a firmware update - the latest is KYS4.
    http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2097

Are you using Nero 7 or Nero 5?

    Hi marco1888
Well this log also shows where you ended the project Aborted by user
It also looks like you didn't have a cd in the drive: Medium not present .
So what brand of CD's are you using?

Also are you burning mp3's to an audio cd? 1st log shows mp3's.

Try the update & firmware and let's see how that goes.

    @Gwen
In a bit of a quandry on this one due to the mp3 audio conversion problems w/ Nero 7. Hopefully marco1888 won't have this issue.

No problemo on the helping bit :)

I am a little confused - alot of your Nero Logs show this Aborted by user

What's happening for you to hit cancel?

What brand of discs are your using?

Is this still only happening w/ cd's? DVD's are still fine (burning & playing)?

A lot of questions but just trying to pinpoint the problem.

editted to add: edit your serial # at the top of the log - begins w/ 1C. Don't need someone else using it!

I sure do but since ALL versions of 7 (including 7.0.8.2) have the mp3 audio conversion problem (choppy/skipping playback) for alot of users I don't think even trying that version would make a diff. If I did I would recommend it.

Plus 2 logs of 7 same issues - no medium present and aborted by user.
More going here than just the version of Nero using.

I did a test w/ one friend also using the latest version (latest was to fix this issue w/ mp3's). We used the same cd - his playback problem was fixed so he's loving life while I on the other hand am still stuck w/ the same ole problem.

Just from what I've read too again most (not all) problems are w/ Vision.
Again same problems reported thru out the all versions - audio out of sync, can't handle certain files, getting hung up and editting etc.

Nero still has work to do:)

    Hi marco1888
Well those brands may be part of your problem. So to rule that out try some other cd's. For those I recommend made in japan Fuji or Maxell. Verbatim cd's are made by CMC I've had a few failures with them.
    Any DVD problems?

Also check those cd's in nero and see if it can identify the manufactucer - this may help see if they are part of them problem.

Have a blank in the drive - Go to ToolKit>Info tool> disc tab. Is there a manufactuer listed and if so who is it?

    hi
when i put my cd/r in it doesnt show anything in the infotool
when i put a dvd in it says supported speeds 8x,6x,4x blank capacity 4.38gig and manufacturer ritekg05, will try to get new discs that u suggested over next couple days,i was able to use the discs i had for the last year then one day was burning a double album, it worked for the 1st album but not the 2nd, which makes me think the drivers knackered

Not a good sign when the drive can't recognize the discs but these cd's may have went south on you. Iffy manufacturers can be hit or miss.
Your drive is still able to read dvd media so that's a good thing.
So let's rule out the cd media 1st. Easiest to do and just may be the problem.
    Keep us posted!
