Im new to this,I downloaded a you tube file to my documents and can not open it, a window appears saying it doesn't recognise the file, I tried with a couple of other files and the same thing happens, is there some programme I need to install for this to work: the message in the window is "windows can not open the file and needs to know what program created it" , when I go online to find this it leads nowhere
yes the file format from youtube is .flv which is flash based video. you either need to install the correct codec to play it OR download VLC media player, this media player is the best it plays nearly everything!
