cant open file!

I have downloaded an application with shareaza and the app has 48 separate files all the same size numbered 1 to 48!

I cannot run this app as when i mount the app with the virtual drive nothing happens, if i just try to open the file windows doesnt recognise the program that created it etc.

how do i install this application and please treat me like an 8 yr old i am new to this

by the way windows says it is split! i.e. i have files

001,002.003 etc

i think i need a tool to join them back

 

what the files extension, because rar and zip files have to be unzipped by another program (winzip or winrar),
take your pick..

if thats the case....

never seen them before. is there no .exe file to start your game?

for sure you should leave them all in the same folder, so dont move any.

but by the sounds of it, there should also be an .exe to start the game.

lol is there no nfo file?

install winrar, winace and winzip

then right click on the first one and see if it says anything about extracting - even if it doesent click on open with then select winrar, see what happens

 

001, 002 etc are part of a spanned RAR File.

What you will need is WinRAR, then just double click on one of the files, then Extract the contents of it, which is most likely going to be a BIN/CUE file, then mount it.

You said to install all 3 software, whereas you only need one of the three.

What does it matter, from double clicking or rightclicking, you are still extracting the files, it doesnt make a god damn difference. It doesnt change the results.

Also you said if it doesnt have, Extract, select Open, well isnt that the same as double clicking... hummm

Some people prefer to mount it then to burn it.

wELL GUYS COME ON CHILL OUT IT IS NOT ABOUT WHO SOLVES MY PROBLEM BUT MORE WHO MANAGES TO DESCRIBE THE SOLUTION CLEARLY FOR NOOBS LIKE ME EVERYWHERE!

Anyway i have sorted it now using winrar!

however neither of you where particularly accurate, because I had to exctract to a new folder or else it just kept saying overwrite files which I did But just ended up with the same split files so when I exctracted to a new folder is extracted as an .CUE and .BIN mounted, ran working!!!

I said install all because he said they are 001 a spanned RAR file is r01, r02 etc
