cant open serial port

every time i go to load the 4.54 software it comes up cant open serial port, im using the rs232 null modem. i have 4.51 on at the minute, can anyone help? do i hane the wrong null modem? cheers

 

hi bud, that dont really tell us much does it, sounds like youre frustrated a little there.give us some more info, what box & clone or original, provider, update number etc.

the more info you give us the more we can and want to help

 

sorry very frustrated, its sv2 4.51 boot 7.0. i cant understand, i flashed a friends box last week and it connected fine. hope this helps, thanks

 

was one a clone and one an original?

 

sorry, its an original box as well.

 

both were originals, vents, scarts and controls checked ok

 

a think one of the sv fixes got pulled earlier cus it wa not working on all boxes, am now led to believe this has been resolved an a new ver is avail, however am not sure if it was sv2 or not, saw it a while ago n tired now.
