When I put a DVD in the drive, it won't play. I used three applications; NERO, Windows Media and Interactual player. Attached is the error I get with NERO.

Error message reads: Sorry, the folder you have selected is not contain a valid DVD video, SVCD or VCD structure. Please user the "media files" function to browse and play back files from this folder.

    Tammy981,
The error message means exactly just that. It looks like the DVD you're trying to play isn't properly formatted and structured. Did you do any editing/encoding on this DVD?

Do you have any other codecs installed aside from the ones that came in with your machine?

No, not that I am aware of. I have a basic setup to my laptop with the external Memorex DVD drive (the one that is giving me trouble) and a tethered Cell phone for internet services. Nothing special for video.
