Cant play file , Im desperate !

I accidently deleted Prison Break(a full season 1 of a tv show which is 7.50gb) and I recovered it but now it doesn't play on Windows Media Player(didn't work on Windows Media Player before I deleted it) so I always play it on VLC Media Pleyer but for some reason it doesn't play on any,when it's on VLC it just plays but there's nothing on the screen and it on the timer it doesn't move one second,it stays on 0:00:00 and on Windows Media Player it says 'Windows Media Plyer cannot play the file.The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.'

I need help and I don't want to download 7.50gb again.

How did you recover this file? It could be corrupt,

Thanks for the guide but it isn't that,I think the file is corrupt.

 

Im gonna suggest one more thing
Make sure you have xvid installed and try opening it in virtual dub or vitual dub mod.
