Cant Play files I burned!!

    first of all i would like to thank you for this nice website, my problem is i just cant play the files i have burned on my dvd!!
    i am using nero 6 to burn the files, today i have tried to burn a folder contain 12 avi file just using the easy method of copy data, the burn process went fine and i got the susccess msg, but when i tired to play dvd it just dont paly all files, it would play the first three or two files and the rest just dont:(, if you are asking about the dvd type they are good one, novatech one i didnt buy till i read the review about them from customers and about my dvd writer its nec one 8x +-, i hope some one could help me on it, ah and one more thing the same problem i had when i tried to burn using my laptop dvd which is 2x speed toshiba, can some one help me pelase. all i am looking for is to bur them as data file and i can play them on my computer as well as clean my hard drive from the shit loads i have in it, thanks alot

    Sounds like you created a DATA DVD, not a MOVIE DVD. You should use NeroVision or Recode 2 to make a DVD Movie out of those AVI files.

    yes i tried data dvd!!!i thought it would play just same as copying data cd when you can put your file normally so ist diffrenet then?? omg so i was wrong then!! i cant beleive it man i will try what you said

    You should make sure the disc is copied in multisession. Check in the settings before dragging the files. Do not use DVD video option if you only want to view the files on your pc.

    do you think thats the problem? multisession?so why some people thne tell me to use singel session?

    For a data disc you should always use mulitsession or you will have difficulties playing back all the files. Only use 'not mulitsession' for DVD movies or copying.
