I made a compilation of music videos and tried to use Windows Movie Maker to make a VCD. I inserted transitions, title page etc... onto a storyboard and saved it to my computer, which it did with no error found. I next tried to copy it to a cd and it took forever. I though I was okay until I tried to play it on my computer (did not recognize), my xbox (did not recognize), and my DVD player ( did not recognize, even though it should support VCD's) So I am stuck, and do not know tons about computers. If some of the original files I used were bad, shouldn't it have failed before I got so far? When I next tried using NERO, I got an invalid streaming error message. When I play the compilation back on Windows Music Maker, it is fine, complete with all of my transitions, etc.. Thank you so much for any advice!
Well you can Not make a VCD with Windows Movie Maker...The VCD Format uses Mpeg-1 video and Movie Maker Can not Create Mpeg-1 Files it can Only Create WMV and AVI files..... After you have created the Movie file with Windows Movie Maker you have to convert the File to VCD/Mpeg-1 format and then Burn it in VCD Mode....
