Cant playback with Hd camcorder

My problem is, I have just got a new camcorder a HD one, this is it, http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/...n/HMX-U10RN/XAA/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail Now when I playback on my TV it has a perfect picture well good enough for me, but on my Laptop it wont play using windows media player, so I downloaded an MP4 player, from this site and while it does play the video it seems to be in slow motiion here is an example. I got my son to hold up his hand in a fist and count to five at each number raising one of his fingers and recorded him, playback on tv perfect, playback on laptop you can here his voice saying 1,2,3,4,5 and the fingers rise soon after again it seems in slow motion. What can I do or what can I try? Any help would be most welcome.

I have read the manual inside out and my laptop runs on windows vista basic.
