Can't read CD-RW I just burned!

    I copied some stuff onto a CD-RW disc on my PC. It copied ok but when I went to read the CD the PC went mad and had to be shut down. I tried it a few times with no luck. Each time having to shut the PC down.
    My drive is a CDRW/DVD combo.
    Using Windows 98 with Easy CD Creator.

    I've been burning CD-R's for ages with no problems.
    This is the first time I tried a CDRW.

    Anybody any idea what the problem is?

    Did you use Easy CD Creator or the DirectCD that is bundled with it?

    I used Adaptec Easy CD Creator version 3.5.

    An update patch will update 3.5 to version 3.5c (263).
