    There is a number of things you can do;

    Firstly you will need to follow
    http://forum.rpc1.org/viewtopic.php?t=25628&postdays=0&postorder=asc&&start=0

    ^this tutorial

    ~Might be a Little bit Tricky!~

    Also worth trying if you want to access your files from the CD/DVD via your laptop... I found that UltraIso worked a Charm...

    I know this post is outdated however it is for other ppl in the same predictament..

    ps: The above tutorial is a little fickle and a few coasters may be made however for the UJDA720 MAT-SHITER ~ She works a Treat.

    ps: these drives are perfectly capable of reading todays media it's the manufacturers choice not to support these devices anymore for several reasons , the main one being that they won't make any money off the new ones ;P therefore they will not want to upgrade the old ones for that very reason...

    No Worries bro , Iam thinking of changing mine also.. to some other brand.

    I did notice that you need to eject and re-insert the cd in order for it to be be read.. but it does work (somewhat).
