Hi, wanted to post this here: Digital TV (DVB) discussion until I saw this "Absolutely no piracy/descrambler discussions allowed!" so here I go. Iv been reading these boards for a few weeks trying to educate myself on all things TV related. I live in Ireland and have ch*rus so decided to buy a dreambox 500c (still waiting for it to arrive). My question is, I have a friend who uses a copied card in his official ch*rus receiver, every so often it stops working and he needs to fork over an arm and a leg to get it reactivated(?). My question is, could anybody please tell me the proper terms I should be searching for to learn about this? What is the name/type of the card being used? What hardware do you need to re-write it? where do you find the new codes(?) used and what are they called? Sorry again for such a n00b topic but any help will be greatly appreciated
he needs an origional card n*l or ch**us will do and it needs to be programmed with an autoupdate file. whoever is doing the card is prob taking him for a fool if he keeps handing over cash everytime it goes down or it could be updating and he is putting an expiry date on it so it will cut out at the date set.. i do those cards and know their is no prob with them only if you want to create one so you can keep getting a few euro
