    Hi,

I tried to use my TV as monitor, mainly to watch movies on a big screen.

I have a ATI X300 video board on a laptop and the connection is via the s-video plug.

I succesfully see the monitor on my TV, with only one problem:

as soon as I start a video application the video is displayed at full screen mode on tv (while on the pc it is displayed in a small window). Moreover, and here is the real problem, the thing is when I load subtitles (e.g. in BS player), I can see them only on the PC and not on the screen.

Any idea on how to solve the problem?

    Thanks,

    John

I can honestly say I've never had this problem, but I have an ATI Video card with S-Video out and what I do is this. I have the connector hooked up to the tv and have the video card software to force detect the TV display and then select the "duplicate this to all displays" or whatever it says exactly option selected on the monitor. Try to set it up in that manner and see if it doesn't fix it.

Go to settings in BSPlayer (Ctrl+P) and select "Draw subtitles to overlay surface".
