Hi, I have tried several DCT4 calcs, all unsuccessfully when trying to unlock a 5140i. I have used the same calcs to unlock two 3100s. Even when I enter #pw+<15 numbers>+7# (or +1, +5, etc) it doesn't even say "Code error". Nothing happens when I hit the last '#'. The numbers just remain on the display. I have read somewhere that some calcs wont work because the firmware is too new. Would this be the reason? Can anyone help me out? My Details are: IMEI: 356654000640304 Provider: Australia - Singtel/Optus (50502) Phone: 5140i Cheers
OK just an update.. When I put in a vodafone sim, it boots ok, asks for my sim's PIN, then goes into a 'Phone restricted' screen. It prompts me to 'Undo'. So I hit 'Undo' and then it takes me into an input screen with the title: "Enter restriction code:" I tried a couple of the codes from the DCT4 calcs but they didnt work. Any clues? Cheers
G'Day, I have just purchased a 5140i from optus and want to unluck it to use my Vodafone SIM. I had the same problem at firsat, but have found that you need to put in your SIM (to the network you want to change to) then when you start up the phone, if will say [bold]SIM Restricted[/bold]or something similar. Press [bold]Undo[/bold]on the Nav key and then enter your code. After you try 5 times, it won't let you enter the code again. If this happens to you, just turn it off, then back on again, but you will only get one attempt at a time. This is the stage I am up to, I have tried many calculators and can't get a good code in from here! Let me know how you go!
