Cant Update Firmware

    Hi im trying to upgrade my firmware on my PSP that i just bought second hand off ebay. Its currently on ver 3.71 when i try to update of the web the latest update is 4.01. When i try to update i get an error message that reads

    "The game could not be started (80020148)"


    Does anyone know how to solve this?

    I tryed to find a download for a earlier firmware update but i cant find one anywhere.

    Can anyone help?

    either u are putting wrong or its corrupt.

    Put it on the GAME/UPDATE folder.

    That error usually shows up for me when i don't change kernel. Is it OFW 3.71 or CFW 3.71?

    I used my wifi to download the official firmware update from sony. It isnt homebrew or anything like that. When i download the update it says press x to install update but when i press x it gives me that message. So it wont update at all.
